Special Weapons from Mega Man, Mega Man X, and Mega Man Legends. Zero's skills and other weapons in the Mega Man and Mega Man X series are also included here to keep their arsenal in one place.

Mega Man

Each Mega Man character has at least one weapon, and Mega Man (alongside a few other characters) can be customized to have up to eight weapons and four support items available in the moveset, either by pressing a button to switch weapons (most characters) or using a button combination (Marvel vs Capcom and Super Smash Bros versions). If the character isn't equipped with Special Weapons or has room for more, he will obtain the weapon of the enemies he defeats.

Most Special Weapons are unlocked by defeating the boss that gives said weapon in any mode with a character that can use the weapon, except for the ones listed in "Other Weapons".

Robot Master can also be customized, but in a more limited way. For example, Pharaoh Man can have either Pharaoh Shot, Pharaoh Wave, or both. DLC packs also include alternate versions to their weapons, some changing only visuals while others work completely different, like the Ruby Spears and Captain N versions of Wood Man's Lead Shield.

Instead, this unlocks the boss transformations for Axl, as some of them can't be obtained normally, like Mad Nautilus and Depth Dragoon. His version of Ninetails is debuffed compared to the playable Ninetails, being basically Onetail with nine tails and one extra Super Combo: Nine Fragments.
Hyper ModeObtain 40 MMX Special Weapons Hyper Mode for the Mega Man X Command Mission characters.
Nova StrikeObtain 50 MMX Special Weapons. X only. Can be used regardless of his armor, although it isn't as powerful as the Ultimate Armor version.

Infinity BusterObtain 60 MMX Special Weapons. X only, and it occupies four Special Weapon slots. If the player has the Infinity Stones (included in the Guardians of the Galaxy DLC Pack), it can be powered up by equipping them in the four support slots. Charge time slightly increases for each Infinity Stone, but damage increases by 25%. When equipped with all four stones, it also ignores resistances, turning it into a sure-kill shot. X loses 20% (+5% per stone equipped) of his current HP after the shot.
